Movement is Medicine
Moving every day is the key to your good health! It doesn't have to be the gym; maybe a walk with your dog or best friend (for me that's the same!), some yoga or core strengthening, dancing, hiking, anything you enjoy. Treat yourself and see this as your self-improvement time or time of gratitude. If you look at it this way, it is no longer a chore, but a beautiful choice.
Lean Turkey Taco Salad
1lb. ground Turkey
1/2 Jar Good Salsa
Thinly Sliced Red Onion
Sliced Fresh Jalapenos or Jarred
Black Beans (Optional)
Salt + Pepper
Spray Pan Lightly with Olive Oil, brown the red onion and fresh jalapenos, push to the edge of pan and brown turkey, add seasoning to taste (and yes, a dash of cinnamon gives it a great flavor)
Add jarred salsa, and stir well, then black beans, then let flavors come together for a few minutes. Arrange chopped romaine, top with fresh salsa and turkey taco, and then cheddar and crushed tortilla chips. The key to keeping this low fat is limiting the toppings and eliminating a dressing. Using fresh salsa and even a squeeze of lime juice I great. Enjoy!
